ABOUT THE JOURNAL
Top of pageAims and scope of journal
Comparative Economic Studies focuses on theoretical and policy issues faced by economies which were formerly centrally-planned. It also deals with the debates faced by both emerging and mature market economies; the latter are examined in the light of new circumstances and the need for institutional change. These analyses may be comparative in nature or, equally, may deal with a single country. They may be at the macro level or at the level of individual institutions and economic units. The journal particularly welcomes studies which aim to analyze the institutions and policies for economic transition and restructuring.
