1was recently made Chief Innovator for Amway Japan, after five years as Chief Communications Officer. Terry comes from an interesting background — first as a career Army officer in military intelligence, and subsequently in diplomacy as a diplomat for the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. He joined Amway in 2001 as the result of a chance meeting with a headhunter at the Japan Rugby Union. In 2006, he was seconded to Amway's headquarters in Grand Rapids, MI where he first designed the metrics set for Amway's global Business Intelligence initiative and afterwards led the Social Media team for the Global Web 2.0 project. He is a sought after speaker and has considerable experience in print, AV, direct response and digital marketing over the web and mobile platforms. He has lived in Tokyo for over 18 years with his wife Cheryl and family. His passions are food and wine, and he is an enthusiastic blogger and Wiki contributor.
