The Role of Multilateral Development Institutions in Fostering Corporate Social Responsibility
Antonio Vives
Abstract

Antonio Vives argues that multilateral development institutions are one of the most important drivers of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Taking advantage of their unique position as honest brokers, their global reach and their developmental objectives that coincide with those of CSR, they can advocate responsible practices, help develop a conducive environment, finance CSR activities and support measures to enhance the accountability of businesses.
