Culture, Governance and Globalization
Lourdes Arizpe
Abstract
Lourdes Arizpe argues that governance is increasingly influenced by social, cultural and knowledge imbalances in globalization. She challenges the restrictive notions of governance as related exclusively to political relation among political actors. Her proposal is for a much more open and constructivist viewpoint of relations, both between states at an international level, as well as between political, social and cultural actors within states.
