Feminisms and the World Social Forum: Space for dialogue and confrontation
Virginia Vargas
Abstract
Virginia Vargas analyses the World Social Forum from the feminist view point. She asks what this space and process means to her political work illustrating how the changes in feminist strategies are expressed and developed within this space. She argues that the WSF is a space of both convergence and confrontation between new and old structures of thought and action, and in this is both a fascinating and challenging process for the feminist movement.
