Abstract
Claudia Felten-Biermann looks at the consequences of natural disasters for women in the aftermath of the 2004 Asian tsunami. She argues that sexualized violence is not adequately guarded against in such disasters and that much stronger pressure from the aid community needs to be brought to bear.
