Nanotechnology for Health and Development
Gregor Wolbring
Abstract
Gregory Wolbring looks at the promises and perils of nanotechnology and -nano-bio-info-cogno-synbio (NBICS) for the global community in terms for development in general and health in particular. He argues that given today's governance of science and technology research and development and policy, NBICS might improve the lives of a few but could well make the lives of many others worse. If NBICS is truly to benefit the global community, the engagement around NBICS has to change dramatically.
