Abstract
Anwar and Furhawn Shah examine the analytical underpinnings of local governance. They outline analytical approaches to local governance in order to understand the role of governments and comparing and contrasting institutional arrangements. They suggest how to evaluate and reform local governance in both industrial and developing countries.
