Abstract
Georgina Drew looks at organized civil society resistance to big multinational corporations monopoly over water that build on the realities of communities in Mehdiganj, India. She argues that place-based oppositions continue to be important and that local fights for the right to water and development will continue to inform the larger movement against water privatization.
