Presents estimates published in December 2007, an overview of the methodology used and future plans for regional economic data
This article presents estimates for regional gross value added at current basic prices published in December 2007. These data are published using the European Union Nomenclature of Units for Territorial Statistics (NUTS) regions. Data are published at the NUTS1 level for the time period 1989 to 2006 and at the NUTS2 and NUTS3 level for the time period 1995 to 2005. This is followed with an overview of the methodology used in the calculation of regional GVA and the article is concluded with the Office for National Statistics future plans for regional economic data.
