New Editor Appointed to The ECPR/OUP Comparative Politics Series

After some seventeen years as co-editor of the ECPR/Oxford University Press Comparative Politics series, Ken Newton (University of Southampton) retired from the post on the 1 August 2007, to be replaced by David Farrell (University of Manchester). Professor Farrell will work alongside the continuing co-editor Alfio Mastropaolo (University of Turin).

Comparative Politics is a series for students and teachers of political science that deals with contemporary issues in comparative government and politics. As Comparative European Politics it produced a series of high-quality books following its foundation in 1990, but now takes on a broader form and title – Comparative Politics. As the process of globalisation proceeds, and as Europe becomes ever more enmeshed in world trends and events, it is necessary to expand the scope of the series.
