ABOUT 2004 ISSUES
Issue 76. Post-Communism (April 2004)
Women's lives in transition
The authors in this issue reflect on current legal reform and violence against women in countries that have undergone transition from communism including Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland and the former Yugoslavia. This issue is edited by Vesna Nikolic-Ristanovic, Feminist Review's corresponding editor based in Belgrade.
Issue 77. Labour Migrations (August 2004)
Women on the Move
The place of the post-colonial in the play of global labour relations today is central to this issue. It brings new work on women's responses to changing international labour markets. Domestic and care workers and the impact of their migration are a major theme in the issue. In addition it presents a wide range of interventions in art and politics for thinking about change. The editors are Helen Crowley and Nirmal Puwar from Feminist Review and Eleonore Kofman and Parvati Raghuram as guest editors.
Issue 78. Empirical Interrogations (November 2004)
Gender, 'race' and class
This issue of Feminist Review presents new empirical research carried out in a range of contexts but with the common theme of interrogating existing theorisations of gender, 'race' and class. It also addresses global policy agendas and transition points in women's lives. The focus on empirical work leads to consideration of issues in research methodology.
