‘WIRES’, the Women’s Information Referral and Enquiry Service, ran from 1975 to 1985.
Garthwaite explained how children resident and/or raised in the commune she lived in, as well as in several others, were all given their own surname of ‘Wild’.
At annual, national WLM conferences, from 1971 to 1978, the UK WLM formulated seven demands, forming a sort of (wo)manifesto for the British WLM.
