Julia Kristeva on Femininity: The Limits of a Semiotic Politics
Ann Rosalind Jones joined the women's movement in New York in 1969. She teaches and writes on women's texts and on literary theory in the Comparative Literature Program at Smith College (Northampton, Massachusetts) and spends as much leave time as she can in England and France.
Thanks to Michele Barrett, Rosalind Coward, Cora Kaplan, Annette Kuhn,: Jacqueline Rose, Peter Stallybrass and especially the members of the MA seminar in Women's Studies at the University of Kent for useful (and almost always exasperated) comments on this project.
