Jean McCrindle has been active in the socialist movement since the 1950s. She has a daughter Claire, who is now at university. She is co-editor with Sheila Rowbotham of Dutiful Daughters - Women Talk about their Lives, and teaches at the Northern College.
Sheila Rowbotham is the author of several books about socialism and feminism. Her play Friends of Alice Wheeldon about a suffragette accused of conspiring to kill Lloyd George has recently been published by Pluto Press.
