The Quest for National Identity: Women, Islam and the State in Bangladesh

Naila Kabeer does research and training in gender and development issues at the Institute of Development Studies, Sussex. She is a member of the Feminist Review Collective and of Naripokkho, a women's organization in Bangladesh.
