  • Initially, the authors had intended to undertake studies of seven countries, but this intention was abandoned in order to meet a reduced budget, to keep the findings to a manageable size and to ensure early results (p. 3).

  • In the case of Mauritius, there is an additional discrete chapter dealing with the importance of its international financial services industry to the Mauritian economy (Chapter 7).
