Why publish in Palgrave Macmillan journals?

Palgrave Macmillan has a tradition of excellence in professional, humanities and social science publishing. The size and high quality of our journal list enables us to work closely with our journal editorial teams to provide excellent services to authors:

Premier peer review

Our editorial teams aim for the highest standards in peer review, an increasing number of our journals use state-of-the-art online submission systems to enable quicker reviewing and online manuscript tracking for authors.

Online visibility

All Palgrave Macmillan journals are published in print and online as well, making your paper instantly available to a global audience. A growing number of Palgrave Macmillan titles use our Advance Online Publication programme which enables us to publish papers online as soon as they have been edited, typeset and checked by the author.

Fast, efficient publication

Palgrave Macmillan's production team uses the latest production technologies to publish journals rapidly in print and online. Almost all articles are now set using entirely electronic production processes, avoiding the mistakes made when an article is rekeyed and minimising production times.

Wide dissemination

Because many of our journals have relationships with international societies our journals enjoy a broad international readership. Our active, global marketing, including distribution of sample issues at major conferences, ensures good visibility for all titles. In addition, we distribute free tables of contents for each issue we publish by email to thousands of interested researchers worldwide. Our journals are available through most major indexing services and many third party services, including ABI Inform and Ingenta Journals.

Offprints and copies for authors

The majority of our titles offer free offprints or a copy of the relevant journal issue to the corresponding author. You can purchase further copies at the time of publication using the order form accompanying the proofs which has to be returned by the specified deadline. Further reprints of articles can also be ordered after publication using our online order form or by contacting the reprint office.

...and we listen

We take time to listen to what you have to say. If you have an idea for a way we can improve our service to you as an author please contact us.
