Abstract
A challenge in most projects is to deal with unexpected events or conditions that may influence projects accomplishment. An outline of a structure that can be used when addressing these events or conditions is presented in this paper. High Reliability Organizations (HRO) has ways of acting and managing that make them able to handle the unexpected, hallmarks and characteristics of HRO are presented in this paper. This paper do furthermore suggests ways of acting and managing, so that project organizations may be able to address and manage unexpected events or conditions in projects.
