The Impact of Land Reform on Housing Development in Urban China

Abstract

There is a growing awareness of and agreement on the significance of urban land form in China. But the impact of this process is overlooked in the growing research into Chinese land and housing development. This paper aims to contribute to this neglected area of land impact study. It introduces the instruments of the recent Chinese land reform programme and examines the impacts of land reform on housing development in China.
